Cong. OH-2nd: Kraus (R) Website Up

Thanks to Congressional candidate Deborah Kraus (R-Union Township) for alerting us that her campaign website is now up. (Sorry, no picture on the site for us to post here.) Kraus is a challenger to controversial incumbent Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland). On her site she describes herself as a 49 year old wife and mother, a lifelong Ohio resident, a product of public education although not quite a college graduate, and currently employed by West Clermont Local Schools as a Technology Administrator. She stresses that she believes devoutly in Lincoln's description of government as "a government of the people, by the people, for the people." On the issues, Kraus states that we probably should not have started the war in Iraq but it must be finished correctly, and criticizes defense spending as wasteful; takes a qualified pro-choice stance on abortion; decries the influence of lobbyists; supports gun rights; supports smokers' rights; and says that the No Child Left Behind legislation is good but needs to be revamped.
UPDATE: The candidate has submitted this clarification as a comment to this post: "I said there is money being spent in the name of defense and is anything but. I do not consider real defense spending wasteful."

Jeff,
This is Deborah Kraus and I appreciate your posting regarding my website being up. However you misquoted me about defense spending. I said there is money being spent in the name of defense and is anything but. I do not consider real defense spending wasteful.
