Live-Blogging the DCC Statewide Democratic Candidates Forum

It's 10:00 am or so and I am at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, waiting for the candidates forum to start. This event is hosted by the Democratic Constituencies Coalition, a new umbrella group comprised of numerous organizations: Blacks United in Local Democracy (BUILD), Blue 88, Campaign for a New Ohio, Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, Cuyahoga County Young Democrats, Cleveland AFL-CIO, Northeast Ohio Democracy for America, Ohio Women's Leadership Forum, Ohioans for Democratic Values, National Jewish Demcratic Council, and Westside Democrats. The forum will be moderated by Renita Jablonski of National Public Radio station WKSU. There are about 200 people in attendance, filling the Moot Court Room here at the school.

There will be another DCC Statewide Democratic Candidates Forum on April 1, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at AFL-CIO Laborer's Hall, 3250 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Appearing at that forum will be gubernatorial candidates Bryan Flannery and Rep. Ted Stickland, their running mates Frank Stams and Lee Fisher, Attorney General candidates Subodh Chandra and State Sen. Marc Dann, and State Auditor candidate State Rep. Barbara Sykes. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP to Troy Bratz at this email address: cuyahoga-at-ohioyd-dot-org.
