OH House 76th: Molk (D) Leaves Race

Thanks to a reader who emailed the news that Brett Molk (D-Kenton) has decided to drop out of the race for the Ohio House 76th District seat of Rep. Mike Gilb (R-Findlay). Gilb had been a candidate for the 4th Congressional District seat of retiring Mike Oxley (R), but Gilb has withdrawn from that race and decided not to run for any office at this time. Gilb won the 76th District with 68% of the vote in 2004.

Molk's departure leaves no Democrats in the 76th District race. Clifford Hite (R-Findlay) and Jeremy Swartz (R-Findlay) are the Republican contenders.

FDR never took Hancock County. Molk's just saving himself some time. He wouldn't have received caucus support.
