AP Declares VA-Sen for Webb (D)

The Associated Press has declared Jim Webb (D-VA) the winner of the U.S. Senate race in Virginia, resulting in a 51-49 margin for Democrats (including two independents who caucus with the Democratic Party) over Republicans. This makes Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) the new Senate Majority Leader and means that senator-elect Sherrod Brown (D-Avon) joins a majority party (and is more likely to get the Senate Finance Committee seat that he wants, among other things).
