Franklin County Comm: Brown (D) Defeats Stokes (R)

According to the Franklin County Board of Elections web site, challenger Marilyn Brown (D) has unseated incumbent Dewey Stokes (R) by about 3% of the vote:

164,705 (51.54%) Brown (D)
154,867 (48.46%) Stokes (R)

This gives Franklin County a Board of Commissioners composed entirely of Democrats, with Brown joining Mary Jo Kilroy and Paula Brooks. Kilroy will be replaced with another Democrat if she wins her dead-locked Congressional contest against Rep. Deborah Pryce (R).
