Gloria Steinem and Cecile Richards to Mobilize Pro-Choice Voters in Ohio

Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards and feminist leader Gloria Steinem will help mobilize pro-choice women voters in Columbus and Dayton on Monday, November 6th, and Election Day, November 7th. The pair will join activists and volunteers on the streets as part of a nationwide mobilization effort to turn out voters who will make the difference for women’s health on Election Day. Planned Parenthood supporters will work the phones and rally in the streets to educate voters about important reproductive health care issues and to urge candidates to make their views known.

The press release states that "political momentum is building in favor of a commonsense, pro-prevention, pro-choice agenda that supports the health of women and families. Planned Parenthood activists and supporters are making sure Ohio voters know where their candidates stand on important issues like birth control and access to health care."

This is so great. I am definately going to volunteer in Columbus. I worked a canvass with Cecile Richards when she was with America Votes, so I bet she really will be going door to door and on the phones. She is a real grassroots kind of lady. Thanks for posting this!
