Treasurer: Cordray (D) Picks Harry Lehman as Transition Chief

Treasurer-elect Richard Cordray (D-Grove City) has named Harry J. Lehman of New Albany to head up his transition team.

Lehman, a retired partner in the mega-law firm Jones Day, represented the Shaker Heights area in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1971-1981. He chaired the House Judiciary Committee from 1975-1981, winning bipartisan praise for his instrumental role in modernizing the civil and criminal justice systems in Ohio. He has also served as a member of the Ohio Elections Commission, a State Bar Examiner, and an adjunct professor at Ohio State University.

“Harry Lehman has always been a mentor to me, and I am very glad he has agreed to lend his time and talent to helping me get off to a fast start in the Treasurer’s office,” Cordray said.
