Why So Few Posts Lately?

Her name is Stella. She's a golden retriever, five months old, picked up as a stray a few weeks ago, taken to a shelter, adopted by us. She's full of energy, completely untrained, frightened, affectionate, totally cute, and yes, her tongue is enormous. The past week for me has been all about house-training, sit-down-stay, puppy disasters, getting our seven-year-old golden Sam (inspiration for my nom de blogeur) adjusted, trips to the vet. There have been anxious moments and wonderful moments. (Like the time she figured out how to open the car window for herself, by stepping on the button ... I've never known a dog to do that before!) Her name has evolved from Stella to ST-E-E-L-L-A-A-A-AH!!!! to Stelly Belly to "O Stella Bella" (to the tune of "O Sole Mio").

So, I haven't posted as frequently this week. It's okay, I'll get back to it again by and by.

Congrats on the new dog.

We have a Rottweiler that figured out the car window trick. Thank God for that window-lock button.

We have a chocolate Lab who has figured out how to get people to roll the window down for her...

Hey, what do you think about Dennis Kucinch's run-in with his opponent today? Apparently, he was a no-show at a City Club sponsored debate with her, and she showed up at one of his events and made a scene.
