Gov & Sen: Strickland (D) Up by 22 Points, Brown (D) by 8

The great news just keeps on coming. As reported by WKYC and picked up in the blogs here, here, and here, the latest SurveyUSA poll shows Rep. Ted Strickland (D-Lisbon) crushing Secretary of State Ken Blackwell (R-Cincinnati):

57% Strickland (D)
35% Blackwell (R)
8% Other and Undecided

This is up from the last SurveyUSA poll, which recorded a 16 point lead.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-Avon) maintained his 8 point lead over incumbent Sen. Mike DeWine (R-Cedarville), despite a wave of negative advertising from DeWine and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce:

49% Brown (D)
41% DeWine (R)
10% Other and Undecided

The poll included 503 likely voters and has a margin of error of 4.4%.

Commentary from cyber-geek Democrat blogger who couldn't get laid if he hired a $5 hooker:

Nov. 7:
"Yay! Strickland is up in the polls!! We're taking back Ohio and Congress!!! YAY!!!"

Nov. 9:

"What happened??? How were we tricked for the 4th straight election?? The exit polls said we would win...WTF? It was stolen!!! AGAIN!!! Must be that right-wing smear machine and fear-mongering!!! :-(

What is it with the wingnuts and their obsession with sex (getting laid, hookers, whatever)? Really unbelievable.

If I weren't in such a good mood due to today's poll results, I'd delete the above comment. Sexist, racist, scatological, and/or gratuitiously insulting blather is not welcome here.

Leave it there, Yellow Dog.

Just think of the satisfaction we'll feel when we look back at it on November 9th after Strickland has drubbed Blackwell, Brown has defeated Dewine, and the Democrats have taken back Congress.

I already have a smile on my face.

This kind of inane, baseless gloating is all the wingnuts have left. They're stuck with Ken Blackwell, who has exactly NO platforms that will benefit the average citizen of Ohio (he has never even addressed the crucial issue of health care). All they have to rely on is smear and fear, so they have to convince themselves it will work.
