Ohio Sen 3rd: First TV Ad for Emily Kreider (D)

Ohio Senate candidate Emily Kreider (D-Westerville) has launched her first television ad:

[NOTE: I have removed the embedded video link but the ad can be viewed here.]

In the ad, a variety of differnt people look at the viewer and say "I am Emily Kreider." In her press release, the producer of the spot says, “We wanted the advertising to represent who Emily is – the ‘un-politician,’ an ‘everyman.’ Emily’s desire to represent her neighbors in the Ohio Senate is deeply rooted in her belief that each individual must have a true voice in government.”

More from the release:
According to Kreider, listening to people is the part of communication that leads to accountability, an aspect of state government that has been lacking in recent years. One of her campaign promises is to listen and, so far, she has knocked on some 5,000 doors in an effort to hear the concerns of her neighbors.

“Emily is very straightforward,” said Rodger Moore, Ms. Kreider’s Volunteer Coordinator. “She answers the questions she’s asked, and doesn’t just reel off talking points from an agenda. She wants to be the ears and voice for the citizens in her district, people just like the ones you see in her commercial.” Ms. Kreider is challenging Republican incumbent David Goodman because she understands that citizens feel disconnected and confused. “From standing on people’s front porches and talking to them, I know that they are looking for help, for hope and for leadership that reflects their values,” she said.
I have met Emily Kreider in person twice and talked with her several other times, and this ad feels very true to her personality and message.

UPDATE: The video didn't play at first, but seems to be okay now. If you can't run it here, go to: IAmEmilyKreider.com.
