Atty Gen: Dann (D) to Sue BWC for Initial Audit on Rate Overrides

Attorney general candidate State Sen. Marc Dann (D-Liberty Township) is holding a press conference at 11:30 am today, November 6th, at the Lucas County Courthouse, 700 Adams Street in Toledo, to announce that he is filing a lawsuit against William Mabe, Administrator/CEO of the Bureau of Workers Compensation, to compel the immediate production of portions of an internal audit which were not released under the public records law. The audit examines the practice of manually overriding premium rates for particular employers, apparently at the request of legislators as favors to politically connected friends.
