State Sen 30th: Trevena, Sayre, and Wilson are Replacement Candidates
The Intelligencer & Wheeling News-Register reports today that the Democratic county chairs for the five counties in the 30th Ohio Senate District met last Friday and agreed on three candidates to replace congressman-elect State Sen. Charlie Wilson (D-St. Clairsville): Anthony Trevena (D-Guilford Lake), a staffer and close advisor to governor-elect Rep. Ted Strickland (D-Youngstown); State Rep. Allan Sayre (D-Dover); and Wilson's son Jason Wilson (D-Sunset Heights). The Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Youngstown Vindicator have previously reported that Trevena has the inside track. The younger Wilson has not held elective office but has worked on his father's campaigns and has served on a number of community boards. He told the reporter that he has learned how to campaign and talk about the issues from working for his father, and that he believes he is electable because he can build on his father's name recognition.

Huh?
Is this the same Jason Wilson who couldn't find 50 signatures in the 6th congressional district?
Ya, right. Go away and play Jason
Sounds like the State Rep. is the only one who has won an election. If Trevena is chosen, I hope he has a constituency of some sort. Most of these State Senators and Reps are virtually unknown to the public.
