Secty State: Brunner (D) Selected by Feingold PAC as "Progressive Patriot"

The Progressive Patriots Fund, the political action committee of Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI), has selected secretary of state candidate Jennifer Brunner (D-Columbus) as its newest "Progressive Patriot." Brunner wins a $5,000 campaign contribution from the PAC. The selection was determined by a vote on the Progressive Patriots Fund web site.

In the announcement, Feingold writes:
Jennifer supports defending the most sacred American right - the right to vote – and the voters from Ohio are supporting her. She has worked as a Deputy Director of the Secretary of State's Office and has served as a Franklin County Judge. Now, Jennifer is running for Secretary of State to restore the people's trust in Ohio elections. She will bring her record of impartiality and professionalism to the Secretary of State's office, ensuring elections can be audited and verified, so that voters have confidence that elections are safe, reliable, and trustworthy.
Prior secretary of state candidates chosen as Progressive Patriots are Mark Ritchie (D-MN), Debra Bowen (D-CA), Ken Gordon (D-CO), and Michael Mauro (D-IA).
